Nothing Lost

Christmas Day 2012


The first Christmas of my life as an orphan :( 

The first Christmas in all my 56 years without a present from my Mother or Father to unwrap :(

Yet the real present they gave me will last a lifetime and beyond because what they gave me I have also given to my children and it isn't just for Christmas, it is something we shall all share all the days of our lives. We carry it in our hearts with my mother and father. Such a simple thing; the love of the loved.



Oh my mum
And oh my dad
And oh my God
How terribly sad.

All my hopes
And all my fears
All my love 
And all my tears

A seasonal wish
A little prayer
A projected thought
Draws you near

Eyes closed
Distance crossed
Memories warm
Nothing lost.
